TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch
TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
